MCU got this franchise back just in time to see it be worthless. I didn't even pay to see it and I want my money back.

2/10, if that.
Yup, total garbage.

It wasn't all bad. I've actually watched it again since seeing it in the theater.

The beginning including the shuttle rescue was fine. Also, I thought the train sequence and final 15 minutes of the film were very watchable. It was only the middle hour and a bit that was horrible.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

It was setup for failure. Was it great...no. Was it bad...no. I enjoyed it.

This is what made me so angry about Fox choosing to destroy/butcher the Dark Phoenix storyline not for the first time, but for the second time. They have now ensured that Marvel will never attempt this story again. I want this story told right very badly. Gladiator and the Imperial Guard and the Shi'ar storyline complete with the whole Dark Phoenix story could be an incredible trilogy of movies. But, now it's been sacrificed to two infinitely inferior treatments and I'm afraid the Phoenix won't be rising from the ashes of the cumulative effect of this "train wreck" as you put it. Makes me sad...

Was on a 4 hour flight twice this week and the plane had this movie as an option and I just couldn't get myself to watch it.

that says a lot!

I would cave for an in-flight movie. I’m holding out for HBO or some streaming service to get it.

I will borrow a DVD from the library. Was really hoping the Dark Phoenix would be good. But I am used to disappointment being a DCEU fan.
