Civil War Series 2 prototypes

here's a pic of some prototypes from Digger's Dig Deep Entertainment booth.

photo shows battle-scarred Spider-Man & Wolverine MBs plus an unpainted proto-type of the limited-run Iron Spider-Man MB.

the paint of the wolverine is simply fantastic. hope it turns out that way in production.

he had new stuff too for the Civil War Asia mini statues that you can "face-off" for battle dioramas. will try to post them later

1) I don't like the Wolverine sculpt.
2) I like the Spider-Man.
3) I hate the base.
4) I don't collect bases, I collect busts.
5) But the base sucks so much. Very distracting.
6) My Spidey/Wolvie shelf is already over crowded.
So I'll probably pass on them. Especially Wolverine. If I can pick them up dirt cheap, maybe.

if you noticed, the wolvie bust has a clear finish to it while the spider-man bust doesn't. don't know if this was done on purpose (or whether wolvie will be duller in production).

they are also doing a 9-inch crouching wolverine (in anime style) along with other stuff but those will only be for the Asian market similar to the Civil War Asia mini statues.

Call me crazy.....(pause).............but I am liking these more and more! Even the boobie groping Iron Man pose! Wolverine lookes like it came right out of the art from the Civil War issues...even if the sculpt looks like he just ate a taco bell grande that his healing factor cant handle. Looking forward to seeing Iron Spidey, and C'mon..how can you NOT like seeing a NITRO mini bust. The Thing piece is nice too! If these are $40 a pop, I could see myself getting these. I hope they add a FALCON, clone THOR, STORM, and HErcules to the line!
