I picked up the SDCC piece, it's nice! I don't plan on getting the whole line though.

Looks good IMO but I'll wait to see how the line plays out a bit though before buying into it. Wasn't a big fan of the way GG abandoned the LOTR busts.

You are missing one of the great literary classics ever. I can understand not having the time to read but check out a library book on cd / tape and listen to it in the car.

Not planning on getting any Dwarves, but I'm hoping Saruman will be squeezed into the movie, which could mean another mini-bust or maybe statue. And I'm excited to see how the Orcs/Goblins will look in the films.

To me the Saruman MB from the LOTR line was absolutely perfect. No beating that IMO.
I'll always welcome more Orcs and Goblins.

I'm really looking forward to what we'll see from this line. My only complaint about the Lord of the Rings line was that the busts were a different scale than the Star Wars and Harry Potter lines. I'm a big fan of mixing and matching and they look to big next to the other lines.

I can't speak for the HP busts but the LOTR MBs were approx. 1/6 scale, same as the Star Wars MBs.

Were there two different LOTR lines? I have the Sauron and Ringwraith busts that have the little drawers in the base that you could put things in. They are much larger than my Star Wars busts. Sauron isn't so bad because he's big anyway but the Ringwraith looks really out of place with my other busts because of his size.
