I don't think details are necessary(or even appropriate), but when the popular face of your company is suddenly fired, I think it's a good business practice to release a statement to alert your customer base and ensure them that a suitable replacement will be found.

Her termination was confirmed on Facebook, but even that wasn't a post from management announcing her departure. Buffy simply responded to a post concerning the rumor that Susan was leaving Sideshow and confirmed that it was true.

Many collectors felt that Susan was one of us. She seemed to love her job, and enjoyed meeting collectors at conventions. At SDCC last year, people were lining up to get their picture taken with her on the day she was dressed as Princess Leia, including many families who seemed thrilled to meet her.

I don't think any of us know the precise details of why she was fired, but I do think that Sideshow could have handled it better.
