nice! the x-force head skin tone matches the regular body more than the regular head....to me it looks that way in all pictures. the regular head looks like it has a very slight darker shade....also the x-force neck proportion looks better

Maybe someone at Marvel cried cultural misappropriation. After seeing the latest comic books like New New Warriors and Children of the Atom, that company seems infested by allies and morally uptight SJWs. 
It was a bad move by SS to release the variant so unannounced and with so small an ES, especially after many collectors voiced their support for the portrait. Oh well at least it was released at all. Good on those that got one.

From what i can gather, Sideshow were going to go with the 'good' portrait from the start. They went as far to display it at a Con. 'apparently' they swapped it at the last minute, as collectors had aired their disappointed views towards the original. And for the record, both portraits existed from the outset, on a computer screen atleast.

How quickly we forget the incredibly loud opposition to that original portrait on social media (including here), with so many saying it looks like a man. Well congrats to all of them, they ended up with an alien instead.

I was one of the ones who liked the original. I figured once the alien head was announced, that would be the last we saw of the good portrait.
