Wasn't that true for Magneto? The issue there was crappy packaging.
No, no, I was referring to the infamous portrait swap.

the base on mine had a small chip off of one of tips, i took the credit. the paint on psylocke herself was perfect and i wasnt going to risk getting a sub par replacement - been down that road once before and ended up not having the statue at all (no more / better replacements). i actually asked if they could just send the one i returned back to me and i would live with it but they said they defect them out as soon as they get them back

I call bullsh!t on them "defecting them out". I can see them frankensteining statues together. So if that is "defecting them out", then I believe it.

I REALLY hope you guys get pristine replacements.
My Psylocke failed to insert fully into the base.
I tried the method of applying maximum pressure to the rear pegged foot, and no luck.
The problem i then discovered was i was unable to separate the statue from the base.

To balance the situation up, i resorted to placing a 5mm chunk of rubber under the front foot.
Sideshow offered $40 worth of credit.

Maybe in the future, i might try separating the piece from the base, and drilling a deeper hole. For the moment, i am leaving everything as is.

There are good pieces in the wild and very sorry to hear about the troubles some are having. Even 1 piece is too many. Every time I expect a new piece from Sideshow I am sweating the QC these days. Of course no statue company is immune but SS's track record is becoming sketchy....

So I got another response. They are stating the new base won't fit with the old body, which is why a full replacement is needed. The options are:

Replace the statue, and they are claiming the new piece would be inspected before it's sent. But haven't we heard that before?

Full return and refund.

Or a $60 credit.

i'm probably just gonna roll the dice on this one and exchange it when I get my email. Hopefully I won't regret it.

Really is going to be up to you, tho sounds like your better off figuring it out on your own. You don't seem very confident and have had negative experiences

I haven't had many myself, other than years ago when Rogue came out and I waited over a half a year for brand new replacement portraits that were just as horrible as the originals. But, my lack of confidence comes from all of the stories I read here and on Facebook.
