I don't think we're going to know what the real death toll is for weeks yet, according to what I've been reading there are still thousands of people unaccounted for/missing ... and with people having to be evacuated from on place to the next, and the communications spotty at best in most of the heavier hit areas ...this is only going to get much worse before it gets any better.
