Ethan Van Sciver Problems
Has anyone else paid Ethan for a commission and still waiting for it? I paid for mine back in the summer and was told by him it would take a DAY to get it done. Well, here we are almost January and I have received nothing. No WIP pics and very rarely will he ever answer messages. I sure could use that money I paid him for extra Christmas spending money, I'm glad he's enjoying my money. And obviously it's too late to get Paypal involved. I'm not sure what to do. Is anyone else experiencing this with Van Sciver?

Oh man that sucks. Hope you get it. I only have gotten a sketch from him directly at a show.
Did you contact your credit card company for a chargeback if you used the CC option via Pay Pal?

the positive on evs is that he goes to a ton of shows so you can always find him and ask him whats up with your piece.

True, I believe there was an older thread about him before.

I lost all interest in his art years ago when I had similar problems with him. By the time I finally got the art I had to sell it because I couldn't stand to look at it.

Ken and I were in the same boat at the same time. I kept my piece for about 3 months and just couldn't stand looking at it and sold it. I saw him at Heroes Con the year before last and he only showed up the last day and sat around strumming on a guitar the whole time. Jerk.

Spencer at the Artist Choice was handling some commissions for EVS back in September. Maybe try contacting him to see if he can help.
