I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

My favorite non-Tom Baker Doctor would have to either be Jon Pertwee or Peter Davidson. Davidson has really grown on me over time and I look back at his stories and companions fondly.

I also liked Peter Davidson. I wish he had stayed in the role longer because it really went down hill after him. He would be third on my favorite list after Baker and Pertwee.

I grew up with Davidson, so he would be my choice. After that, it would be Patrick Troughton

Just finished watching the premier. I liked it alot. Looking foward to next week.

Also, it doesn't hurt that the female lead is a tasty bit of crumpet.

Should this go in the hot or not thread then?

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Egh, that phrase is yukky! If the trunk is the backside, junk in the trunk can surely only be one thing-solids! Or have I got it wrong!?

First episode grabs you right from the beginning to suspect that the new series will have some production values. When Rose gets trapped in the basement and the Aliens Du Jour make their first appearance, this is confirmed.

I like the choice for Doctor, too. He has the c0ckiness of Baker, the compassion of Davidson, and a great sense of comedic timing.

When did all the Time Lords die? Was that in the prior series? Is this a new development that we will learn more about as the series goes on?

I guess I have to remember that not everybody comes from an US urban environment. Here is the definition of the phrase from the Urban Dictionary.

Junk in the trunk - a girl that has a nice big round ass.

You do learn more as the series continues. I believe the destruction of the Time Lords is a new development for this version of the show but I am not sure because I never saw all of the Sylvester McCoy episodes. I don’t believe the 1996 TV movie starring Paul McGann is considered part of the official continuity since The Doctor was half human in that movie. If the movie is part of the official history than the Time Lords were still around when we last saw him.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing in her first scene when she gets up out of bed. I figured, "okay, if this show sucks at least there's some eye candy".

Her overbite is kind of cute too.
