The likeness looks almost perfect if you don't focus on his mouth. It is unfortunate that PSC hasn't got the mouth right.
It looks more like MJ opens his mouth and is about to eat rather than dunking the ball with excitement.
The facial expression is there but the intensity is sorely lacking which makes this head-sculpt a failed attempt. The rest of the statue is rather good.
Really hope PSC will revisit the head-sculpt and make some much needed changes.

It looks weird giving the height and of it since the court base is so low to where he is jumping.

I can't justify the purchase either. I am not a fan of the face sculpt (the "no tongue" is just a shame) and the base. Just seems like PCS was hamstrung here based on licensing restrictions. Pass.

Agreed. To me, head sculpts have been lacking on most of their releases. I passed on Hogan and the Rock because their faces looked odd, both Ghostbusters look off so far, and now Jordan. Seems like facial likeness is the weak point so far on human characters for sure.

It's a shame, do they realize just how many possible sells they are losing due to this weird mouth??? In my opinion, the rest of the statue is a win, but it needs a different head option

There is a very simple solution for this and his name is Trevor Grove.
I hope Ant realizes Trevor Grove is the answer to most of his human likeness issues. Its quite simple really.
If he is available, you pay him $$$$ and he delivers mind blowing likeness forthe past 15 or so years tile and time again.
I thought the Candyman likeness is pretty good tho.
