Late to the game, but went and saw this yesterday. Glad I went into it with little to no expectations and came out enjoying it. This could have definitely been a better movie, but I can't complain much. Will definitely buy it on bluray when it comes out.

Captain Marvel seems to be benefiting in terms of box office this past week with the proximity of the release of Avengers Endgame and the Good Friday holiday. It actually made more money than the previous week and should pass $400M domestic by Monday. This puts it well on its way to surpasses both Captain America Civil War ($408M) and Iron Man 3 ($409M) and settling in as the fifth largest domestic box office in the MCU films until Avengers Endgame pushes it back down to sixth.

Captain Marvel is now being reported as the number 2 movie for the weekend benefiting from the Avengers Endgame release.
Coincidentally it passes Wonder Woman's domestic box office.
Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $413,580,047 37.3%
+ Foreign: $696,600,000 62.7%
= Worldwide: $1,110,180,047

WW is still the better film. But the Marvel brand is gold right now.

I agree. WW only loses points with me due to a weak third act.

I'm curious how they handle her sequels and her role in Avengers. I think she is tricky to place because of how powerful she is at times. Could nerf her like they did Vision, Thor, and Hulk at times.
Amazing success at the box office.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

$70 is crazy! Maybe you don't need two popcorns

I've never had soda or popcorn at a cinema in my life. Couldn't afford it as a kid, so just never bother.
In terms of tickets, I pay $10 a month to see all the movies I want. So roughly $3-$5 per movie which I think is reasonable.

Expanded scene where she gets the motorcycle.
Wonder why they cut it?

The blu-ray is out on June 11th, yet the movie is still playing in theaters. I hadn't noticed that some films, Infinity War for example, continued for weeks at the theaters even after being available on streaming and Blu-ray.
