That sucks dude.
I've learned to not ship valuable stuff during the Dec. holiday season via USPS. Got one comic cover art with a big hole right through the middle a couple years back. Looked like something heavy fell on it, went straight through two-plys of flattened priority mail boxes.
Then this Dec. I mailed a gift card to the East Cost to a relative, and well-well, it arrived....in a plastic bag, with the contents missing.
I've had issues with UPS, USPS, Fed Ex. I still generally prefer USPS due to the low price.
