To me, The Predator was actually very enjoyable up until they introduced the Godzilla CGI Mess of a Predator. Turned it into a B movie with bad cgi. The first 50 minutes or so with the Costume Pred, was actually very entertaining, at least to me. There is actually a scene in the first 30 minutes that stands to me, as one of the coolest scenes in the entire franchise.

It's still a 5/10 for me overall, as the last 40 minutes with the Ultimate Predator completely killed my interest.

Did two movies over the holiday break....

1. Mary Poppins Returns: 8/10 - very enjoyable. Some songs I felt ran a touch long, but very well written and choreographed. My girl crush is Emily Blunt and she was a delight.

2. Aquaman: 8/10 - totally unexpected entertaining popcorn flick. The movie wasn't deep (no pun intended), but it was a good movie. Didn't seem stagnant at any point, good character development and additions (Mera was on point!), and the CGI blended in after the first 20 mins. Once you get past the bright, jarring colors it just seems to flow. The worst part of the movie for me was Nicole Kidman. Her plastic surgery and the CGI to make her look younger was sooooo bad.

I will go so far as to say that Aquaman has more rewatch value than Wonder Woman because the acting was better and the storyline worked from start to finish. But both Wonder Woman AND Aquaman are better than BvS and Justice League.

The Apartment (1960) - A man tries to rise in his company by letting its executives use his apartment for trysts, but complications and a romance of his own ensue.

This classic is the perfect film to watch on New Year's Eve. 10/10

After 12 seasons of watching his' My Three Sons sitcom (in repeats), it's always kinda fun to see Fred MacMurray as a dick on film. This & his fantastic Double Indemnity, Noir pic, are always tons of fun.

Yeah, I was going to say Fred MacMurray plays against type as Jack Lemmon's bastard boss who's cheating on his wife with elevator operator, Shirley MacLaine. Great performances all around.

Matthew Weiner has said that this movie was one of his inspirations for Mad Men.

Aquaman - 7.5/10 - I enjoyed it. I think its getting high marks cause Jason Momoa is really likable and brought some fun to the character. The story overall was average but a fun romp. Def think they can build on this momentum. I'm rooting for Aquaman of all thing...lol

Ha, good one. You liked the movie more than I did. I gave it 2.5/10.

I easily could’ve given it a 2.5/10 too. Bottom line is it’s basically unwatchable.
