They're dropping an Annihilation Omnibus next month, and I'm very tempted. So tempted that I went ahead & pulled all my original run just to get it out of my system & hopefully save $100. Maybe, before I die & when (he writes hopefully but doubtfully) Marvel rolls out enough Space epics that succeed, Marvel Studios would film this as a two-parter. This was just so damn good, nothing's touched it, in terms of crossover-epics, since.

How is the quality on the latest Omnibus's? I had heard that they switched to a cheaper paper with the 2nd volume of Byrne's FF. True?

My Uncanny X-men vol 2 was just released April 15th and I got it just a couple days ago. Quality seems as good as all the others I have.

About to pull the CGN trigger on this along with several others.

I say it's worth a double-dip. The only reason I'm not buying the Omnibus is that I own the original three hardcovers.

Agreed. My only regret was that the Imperial Guard wasn't in it at all. What a missed opportunity, and all because they were slated for an immediately forgettable storyline in the X-Men comics that was nothing compared to the Annihilation saga. Sigh....
