I finished these two for a friend last week. Both took me a couple of days each. 2k with time and material and a couple of days to stain and varnish. That?s friend prices though. Lol.

But it?s all hardwood. All the sides of the cabinets are solid hard wood 1x4s glued together in a glue up. Except the backs are plywood panel.

These will last a lifetime.

Wow! You're friend just got a helluva deal! That's great work; not to mention the time and elbow grease it took for prepping.

I took the risk because I don?t anticipate I will make any money on it the day that I sell it. If the biggest reason I was buying the bust was to try and make a profit, I think I would be an idiot for doing so. Prime listens to their customers regarding accuracy , which is great, but they are also very greedy.

Seems like the legs on this might be a NIGHTMARE to get onto the base.

If I encounter any difficulty I plan on putting a slight amount of WD40 on the pegs to make things glide easier

Thanks man.

Yeah that?s funny cause they still think it?s expensive. Lmao.

It is a lot of work but it?s fun for me.

Here?s my entertainment center I?m slightly redoing for my new home I?m moved into a couple of years ago.

Got doors, drawers and crown left to do. I?m putting on the cherry skirt as we speak. I used to have my collection all on it but when we moved I was able to put my collection in my new office away from all the dust and my cats. I don?t think I will put much on the entertainment center now.

This predator will go in my den on a new build I?m working on in there.

They looks nice you have talent but these but totally over-engineered for what they are being used for.

funny, right?

you broke my balls wanting to use 2x4 construction on a shelf that will hold about 200lbs and over $6,000 of statues and here u used 1x4s holding too support about 25-50 pounds of records, a $300 turntables a 5 pound speaker and a 10 lb bust.

It is but some people get really turned off with plywood builds. They want something that?s gonna last forever and not get all banged up when the run their vacuum into it or when the wife flips out and hurls an inanimate object into it. Lol.

My old plywood builds even though the edges are capped with face frames or edging the ply isn?t holding up as good. And you can?t do repairs and sand plywood, it?s just a veneer and not easy to repair over wear and tear through the years. Ply just gets touchy too when you try to strip and re seal or stain unless maybe you gel stain or paint.

The hardwood builds you can easily sand and change color stain and varnish and refurbish them with no issues. It super easy.
