Marvel "What If...?" titles

Did Marvel ever release an Omnibus of this series? The books entered my mind the other day and I've tried to search around but it doesn't seem like any real collections were ever put together

If you're talking about the original series from 1977: no omnibus, just trade collections. Still, they left out the issues with Conan and Shang-Chi/Fu Manchu due to expired licenses.

Very upsetting. Loved those Conan issues, especially the one with Thor. But the Conan modern crime lord and Captain America fight one was great as well.

I do have all the trades.

I have all the originals (series vols. 1 and 2); I wish they'd start a new series instead of doing these (mostly crappy) one-offs, like they have for the last decade or so.

What Ifs were some of my favorite stories, hands down. That and Marvel Team-Up had a sort of energy that the monthlies sometimes didn't.

My problem with the What If books of the last decade or so is that they don't actually answer a question the way the classics did. Unless that question is always "What if everyone died in the most recent Marvel event?".

The answer to which is usually "the readers would be a lot better off".

Thanks for the info...those collections are so far out of print now that they're prices just aren't worth it to pay on the secondary market. Oh we'll, hopefully one day marvel will give the series the Omni treatment

My biggest problem with the What If? books now is that Marvel never puts any muscle behind them. They're always used as a dumping ground for inexperienced creators or people who don't really have the talent to hack it on a monthly book.
