Great points. I just think Superman's power should be displayed better than holding an arm down. Whenever these two fight, the beams are always blazing! I have faith XM could produce a solid looking beam battle between them.

I see the distraction angle you're going with, but I chose Batman in WW's spot because he'd be a fool to jump on Darkseid's back and engage in close range combat...lol! Plus I wanted to make the most use of the true flying characters. With Martian Manhunter, he makes more sense up there.

I think the eyebeam battle sounds cool if it can be done...as really Supes has always been Darkseid's greatest challenge...plus then Superman can have a more flying/levitating straight pose flexing and showing a better pose/sculpt. I think Martian Manhunter phasing through something would look cool as well. So much potential here.

I think Batman should switch with Aquaman with him shooting his grappling gun upwards at Darkseid's left arm or throwing batarangs at Darkseid, this way you can see the full front side of Batman, have Aquaman switch with Green Lantern with him still riding on top the huge wave. Then move Green Lantern to Flash's position. Flash will be on the ground where Batman is currently running towards Darkseid.

I must agree ...the poses and positions of the JL members is vital. They need to seem like they are attacking and fighting as a team.
