I used to collect original movie props. Most of the wearable costume pieces are made either out of foam latex or some sort of rubber. These things are made to look good for filming and there is zero thought put into them for longevity as the film is the actual product. This is why no matter how well they are treated, the old superhero costumes and other props deteriorate. If you want something for display that will last, you're better off with resin, polystone, etc.

I have it and I think they should've just focused on making it display only.
I don't care for the way the harness attaches to the mask with those visible gold/copper bolts. I may look at getting it removed and filling in the gaps.

Accuracy.
The original one is not that accurate to the actual movie mask, so Queen produced new ones.
