16 Emmy Nominations this year including best drama best actor, best writing, AMC is showing the entire 1st season, 13 episodes, as a marathon tomorrow (7/20).
New season starts next Sunday. This show is fantastic. If you haven't given it a try, now is the time.

Running a little late on this one, but I finally watched the first season. I like it a lot. Great cast, plenty of surprises.

For some reason, there's a Mad Men rental blitz going on in my neighborhood at the moment. It's been very difficult to find the DVDs, and we have 2 Blockbusters and an independent store nearby.

Because the show is really buzzing. It just won its 2nd Emmy in a row for best drama.
Having it on Sundays at 10pm may also be driving up the rental of the DVD's. I force myself to stay awake for new episodes but Monday's are tough because of it.

BT - The 2nd season is full of surprises and themes.
I don't know if you've read any of the Beat writers, but man, there are some amazing "dharma bums" kinda moments as the season winds down. I find the character of Don Draper the most interesting characters ever developed in TV.

Anyone catch the season finale least night? So good, I couldn't believe it. I wanna say best episode of the series so far. I watched it again right after.

We FINALLY got ATT U-verse + DVR, so we've been recording and watching when we can. We're halfway through the 3rd season (last night was the lawnmower incident ), so it won't be long before we're caught up.

And the scene with Don and the "bartender" at Roger's party was great... even better when you find out who he really is!

Key player.

You gotta let me know what you think of the finale when you get there. Honestly, BT I was stunned and thrilled at the same time. 3rd season's been the best. It just builds momentum and there's a glorious payoff. It's already been picked up for a 4th.

* promo pic for the 3rd season which sums up Don's life perfectly.

We finished the 3rd season this afternoon. WOW! What a great way to wrap things up. I can't wait to see what's next.

I have to say, this show does season finales right, not like the sappy group hugs we got with The Sopranos.
