I don’t see the point of JND creating life like recreations of Anime characters using silicone and rooted hair. They could end up being a caricature of the original.

Proto Legolas is already better than anything JND has done imo

agreed. That's one reason why I used to love ECC so much. There's a lot of unique properties that would sell just as well as any of these DC pieces.

Men....that's all I need to say. If she looks hot, they will spend money on it.

First teaser is out. Not much there but the side profile looks like Liv Tyler to me. Promising for LOTR fans.

That's how both Mera and the class Gadot WW's hair should be- in terms of the nature of waves/curls.
Both of those, and especially Mera, are waaaaaaay too curly.
Gadot isn't as much, but Gadot's hair IRL, in the film, is nowhere as full and thick on the crown as it is represented on the statue.
And how it falls is in long, slightly wavy, but separate, locks.
Can't really tell anything about Arwen/Liv here as far as likeness- but if there was one character from this property I'd be remotely interested in (as a much more causal/indifferent LOTR fan), it would be her. I realize she's not a significant character in the books, and the extent of her part in the films was mostly a creative decision made by the filmmakers. Still Liv cut a nice figure as the character and she would make a nice aesthetic addition to a pantheon of 1/3 highly realistic, celebrity/film fantasy females.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Not a fan of their female pieces. All have duck lips...

Yeah, I don't remember that either.
I do like the attitude of the legs/feet here.

I found a part where she was barefoot. This is where she is reminded of Aragorn's mortality (the Two Towers). Anyways, I think she is barefoot almost all the time, but we never noticed because of her long dress.

Interesting..
I own the 1/6th scale figure, and she is bare foot. I had wondered if it was laziness on the part of Asmus Toys,
as her thick blue velvet dress reaches the ground, thus her feet are hidden.

Please excuse the figure pose, as these were taken after an out of the box let's see how the figure looks moment. (great figure btw)

Truth. Even if this comes out perfect, over $3000 is a lot for an obscure character like Arwen. I think the hardcore LOTR collectors will be all in. But I can’t see this selling out everywhere. If it was Galadriel, I think it would. Definitely a risky move on JND. I personally would have loved a Galadriel.
