80s music!
Just thought of (A-Ha playing on my speakers now) something to talk about for the fellas who are old enough to remember music from the 80s and had their mullet or baggy pants.
Which track / band was your favorite and what memory you get when you hear a particular song?
Man, those were the days!
Duran Duran, Madonna, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol!

No mullet, maybe a rattail here and there though.
80's was my favorite decade for a number of reasons and I'd be hard pressed to find a bad band/song/genre in the 80's lot.
Although I never get tired of Hair Metal and much of the power pop of the 80's, New Wave is my favorite genre.
Smiths, Idol, Siouxie and the Banshees, D-squared, Culture Club, Echo and the Bunnymen were bands that got lots of play in my cassette deck.

No mullet for me, i didnt really get into music till the grunge/alternative era in the 90s but i had a ton of cousins from the 80s era so always listened to it when with them. Plus my cousins had the iroc z cars..........
Even now somedays at work i will throw on a 80s station on itunes while working. Good thing about itunes i can see whats playing so i wrote down all that music downloaded it and now have it in my itouch. Nothing beats a mellow day at work listening to some 80s!
I did notice a TON of music these days are taking 80s song bites and or using it as remixes.

Don't know about you guys, but some songs just pick you up and make you feel like you wanna dance like a retard.
Can anyone honestly tell me Footloose doesn't make you jump out of your chair (on the inside or behind closed doors at least)
Funny enough, the song Hunting High And Low by AHa sends me back to the time when I was about ten or 12 during a field trip and playing with Zoids, MASK and GiJoe.
Sure did some weird stuff back in the 80s! (nothing illegal though, I was a good kid
Must be the music..and the water..
or was it Gargamel.....

I unashamedly love 80s music. As Metal/hard rock guy there is a ton of great stuff, but I also love some of the cheesy pop songs.
Modern English - Melt With You
Men at Work - Down Under
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
Add in any song from the Headbangers Ball and Yo Mtv Raps from that time and I'm good to go.
