A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired of thinking.

Hard to top D!ck as he was the original...but Tim took the role to an all new level and really became more of an equal partner to Bruce than D!ck ever did....(having had father issues with Bruce and feeling the need to break out on his own as Nightwing)

Why doesn't Stephanie get any consideration? She was a great Robin whileit lasted.

Its hard for me to vote against D1ck Grayson, but I think I'm leaning Tim Drake here.

Not really knowing my Robin history in great detail, it just seems like D1ck's next level of evolution as a crime fighter, and being his own man, came when he was Nightwing, not Robin.

So even though he defined the role, I think I like Tim Drake's Robin better.

It's an unfair comparison because I think writers had more leeway with Drake than with Grayson. The first Robin wasn't coined the boy hostage for nothing. He was essentially used to make Batman look good and to attract younger readers itching to become a sidekick, which was huge from the 30s to 50s when so many dads were either called off to war or worked insane long hours to make ends meet. Nowadays, kids don't seem to have those same son-dad hang-ups or fantasies. Rather, kids today are generally more drawn to kids who appear independent or even rebellious towards authority figures of virtually any kind.

wow I agree with you for once. I love Grason as Robin but you have to look at the differences between the 2 Robins as they are both totally Diff types of characters. Jason Todd was ok but for me I never connected with him as Robin.

But in the end game I would have to choose..Tim Drake I think as much as I loved Grayson his hayday as Robin was before my time. When I really started getting back into comics Drake was Robin and thats who I kinda connected with.

I think the best Robin is Tim.

The best in combat on the other hand . . . .

Well, if I'd agree with you, we'd both be wrong.
