Honestly, this comparison still doesn?t help. These photos are taken in completely different lighting conditions, which you can see in the skin tones. Also, probably why the yellow looks orange on the dark blue suit image. We either need a true side by side under studio lights (non strobing, no fluorescents), or individual shots with the same conditions with the white balance correctly adjusted (use a 50% Grey card).
These still aren?t accurate, but it?s closer in my opinion. I adjusted according to the grey backdrop, which I assume was the same for both shots. I don’t think they’re using a grey card to adjust white balance though. Again you can see the difference in the skin tones. The dark blue Superman is noticeably lighter so I would expect the actual suit to be darker. Something else to consider is that the shadowing is much more pronounced on the lighter blue.
