I'm assuming since this is 1/4, it does not fall under the US license and thus would not require silicone head sculpt.

That is what I'd assume as well. I just mentioned this in the Iron Studios post but Queen's other 1/4 pieces (Wonder Woman, Ledger Joker, Spider Man Civil War, and Thanos) have polystone head sculpts so I doubt this would have silicone.

16:35- They are currently restricted to using silicone for the heads sculpts in the US.
Maybe in a couple years, he says, referring to the use of polystone.
It is just for the 1/1 and 1/2 items. They don't even have the 1/4 license in the U.S.

You guys are right. My bad.

I had to go back further to hear him say the 1/4 Marvel and DC are for China. The very next question was "what material?" and that's where he talks about the US restriction for silicone.

So, the Tom Holland is polystone? They achieved an excellent likeness on that one, so that bodes well for SJ I suppose.

I took another look at Holland's portrait- yeah that thing is hella impressive. Apart from the sculpted hair, you'd swear it was silicone too.

If they can get close to that with the production pieces...

Yeah, that's easily my favorite Ledger out there.

It's the Gadot that is the outlier for me. Maybe they'll improve by the time it goes into production, but I'm not seeing the same spot on effect there.

Maybe by then U.S. collectors will have learned how inferior polystone really is.

Why? It's a material.....and like any material, it can be good or bad depending on a lot of factors.
