XM Emma Frost

Being the die hard Emma Fan that I am, I may be biased; but I LOVE the story this base tells. It makes me think of X-Men Black:Emma Frost, a one shot from Dec. 2018. Right before she becomes the new 'Black King' of the Hellfire club.

I will say 2 things:
1.) I wish the cape didn't have the fur look and that it would've just hung low off her shoulders like in the comic... but I can look right past that.
2.) the 'diamond' rose of her's makes no sense. But I'm happy to display her with the other hand.

all in all, I can't wait to add her to the collection.

No she does not. That's why I said it's a poor mishmash. The base is Hellfire Club specific as it has the logo on the chair and on the floor, while she's wearing an X-Men costume. The X logo is on there twice too. Pick one era and stick with it.

Oh, I have way more issues with this piece than just this, but I've already made them known.

If she was in a straight Hellfire costume I wouldn’t have been able to resist. I don’t like this version nearly as much.

same here.. the "Hellfire costume" is THE EMMA FROST for me.

I want to love this statue, but they really should have made the swap out hand her starting to go diamond form, with a glove on the floor.

For me its hard to justify paying all that extra cash for XM, when i'm not totally happy with it.

It's to bad they couldn't of done a switch out arm that looked like it was made out of diamonds... that would of appeased more people..

For me the rose thing doesn't bother me, it's more symbolic of what she is then her having the ability to change things into diamonds. That's the way I've always looked at it...

The rose, to me, feels like a nod to the excesses the Hellfire Club indulged in, however a transforming arm would have brought this to a whole other level.

I can make a story about the Hellfire Base and the X-Men costume, so that doesn't bother me at all.
