I don't know, supes base looks a bit more detailed and complicated and might drive up the price.
I was thinking between 575 - 600 for supes.

Entirely possible. I just have this feeling that they'll treat this trinity the same way as the last with the same price for all 3 pieces. Gateway pieces to bring in new SS customers.

I said $560 for Wonder Woman ($10 less than Wolverine, which was well received), then $599/$600 for Superman, followed by $650 for Batman and finally $699 for Flash to match Prime 1's price. Maybe a Barry to Wally variant for Flash as well so you can put one in each Justice League set, new and old.

Plz not $600 or more for Supes. I'm really hoping the same as WW or less.

I hope it will be close to WW but that base looks a lot more detailed and the EX is better.

Open up the sale of the EX for 1-3 months (set the deadline in advance so everyone knows), see how many orders you get, then set the ES and close the sale. They can still add some names to the wait list in case any orders are cancelled after that.
Then sell the Collector's Edition with whatever edition size you forecast will sell or let it ride as a Limited Edition for however long they want.
If they set a time frame on the EX, I assume people who want that will pre-order right away. And there should also be a reasonable ES.
Then you still have the CE for people who want to wait, be it to see production pieces, don't care about the EX, want to use points or gift cards they receive later, etc.
I would think that would work for most people and Sideshow. You get a definite order for the EX in a short time period and then they can just crank out the CEs and keep cashing in.
|
That would work if SS had a reputation for producing excellent production versions but it's a roll of the dice with SS. If people want to gamble a $57 NRD that it comes out perfect that's up to them but I would probably never buy another EX as I would want to see the actual production version before deciding.
SS has nobody to blame for their reputation but themselves due to their factory QC issues over the years. Usually when the factory botches it up SS will just sell the statue as is versus trying to fix it.

Yeah this also makes sense but you just never know with these recent price hikes. Lets hope for the best
