Wouldn't that violate continuity in both WW1 and JL, unless

At this stage does it really matter with the DCU. I guess it should be seen as a sequel to WW but nothing to do with JL.

I'd love it if they just threw out everything except for WW1 and WW2. Make them part of a new continuity, maybe the DC TV Arrowverse.
(Her scenes in BvS were really cool, tho.)

Also you have to take account that he looks young in the photograph but if it was the same person and had lived through WW1 he would be dead. May not be the same character but a relative. Much like what they did with Season 3 in the tv show.

Apparently, they're quietly filming here today, a few miles from my house in Georgetown, DC. They've blocked off a few streets. Gal has been spotted in DC at restaurants & museums lately too. The film name is not WW, but something that reporters around here are saying is just a subterfuge to keep fans away.

If that is a picture of him in the next WW movie then I would have to guess the explosion caused a rip in time/space and sent him to the future... best comic book explanation I got

Apparently, the movie really is called Wonder Woman 1984 (at least for the time being).

My vote is he was rescued/captured from the explosion and screwed with by one of Wonder Woman's god relatives. They do love playing with mortals. But then how would they work Cheetah in?
Though I do also like Built's logic of a time warp.

My guess is he is not there in the tangible sense, it is in Wonder Woman's mind. A reminder or conscience guiding her to do what is right.
