'Scale talk' is a pet peeve of mine.
Thanks! I feel the same way. One of the things I noticed when I joined the forum was an endless stream of posts about "scale", but no one bothered to actually use a ruler to measure their statues. Those posts have largely disappeared in the sections I frequent after I began uploading pictures of statues accompanied by a tape measure.

Great thread Gothamite! Really needed too as does seem to confuse people that scale doesn't mean a series would have characters all the same size (example is Big Barda should be bigger than Stargirl even if both are 1:6).

And deservedly so! lol.

Scale talk really bothers me, so yes this thread is very much appreciated.

It can be fun to mix & match, though, if a character is able to change size.

Just thought of something earlier today -- is there a company that makes licensed 3/4-scale (54-inch) statues?

I don't think anyone does fractional scaling such as 1:1.5 or 1:3.5

Note to collectors that stick to 1:8 to 1:6 realm, going up to something like 1:3 is likely bigger leap than you visualize.
