Lol great

I just recently started practicing seriously. My goal is to start playing online when Ultra hits the shelves

For now I'm learning all the basics. Crazy how complex the gameplay is.
When I was a kid playing SF II I was all hadouken and shoryuken and that was it lol

I've always loved Evil Ryu so I'm learning this character first. I like how he's a cool combination of Ryu and Akuma. I'm not going for any of the top tier characters, I'm more interested in playing a character I can relate to
Also I know he's got poor health and stun but he can definitely hit hard

As soon as I'm ready it'd be great to play a few matches, John

http://www.twitch.tv/pandaxgaming (actually got it going in the background while i type this)

This guys usually has his open lobby stream up and going a lot. Obviously you can check out SF section in general, as with finding their tournament streams there too...when they are going on.

VV for your question on the opticals from the other thread in the statue section (trying to swap over in the general SF discussion. )

They gave tighter/more precise control resulting in needing to move the stick less. Tight deadzone, ease to return back to the deadzone and start forward again, etc. At the time, for being one of the newer people on the machine (and to SF in general), I was able to get Hugo's walk-up 360 down pretty easily. Right now, "slightly" harder to pull on at home. Was great for 3rd strike with teching. Looovvvedd teching. For their durability...I knocked them around a bit at times and they are still working, so they are pretty sturdy.

Now I think me wanting to swap if more due to just being used to those sticks for so long. It also seems no matter how much I use the console sticks, I can never "feel the same" as with the cabinets. Eventually I am just going to mod a cabinet to use a console or pc.
