If that were my dog, I would make that cop's life miserable to the point where he cries himself to sleep every night.

I love dogs as much as the next guy, but we don't know the whole story.
Had that dog bit my kid. I'd have choked the life out of it with my bare hands.

Children should not be allowed near a dog until they are of an age where they are capable of behalving themselves. A dog shouldn't be punished if it is defending itself (its perception) against someone hurting it.

I'd have choked the life out of the owner for not properly training and restraining their pet.

Looks to me like the cop was too weak to restrain the dog so he shot it.

Given that we don't know the circumstances of what happened before the video was taken, when the dog was down he/she was being totally submissive, it knew that it was no longer the alpha and would have given those cops no trouble, there was no need to shoot it.
Even if the dog had done something horrible like attack or injure a child (which we don't know), it still wasn't there place to kill it, and I certainly wouldn't want cops like that in my neighborhood.

Oh and I agree with everyone here that this dog in particular shouldn't have been killed like that. It did nothing wrong on the video. He had it caught and looked to me that he was simply too weak to restrain the dog.
That fat ass cop should've helped out more.

These fukkin' punk cops ever heard of calling Animal Control? The dog was tied to the truck before they snagged it. If they needed to get by it to get in the house, all they had to do was walk around it. They had no reason to snare or shot the dog. Not their job. Just an excuse to shoot something IMO. They should both be fired.
