Agree. Secret Invasion is second best but not a close second. Both concepts were the strongest of the event series.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I just finished reading issue 6 of 8 and so far I am enjoying the story line and the mystery. Don't want to reveal too much to those who haven't read the issues so far. I understand what Howard and Nick been trying to do all along. It make logical sense.

What I am worried about is how the story will end...No replacement.

I think they've already spoiled that part with the new Winter Soldier solicit. I'm pretty sure Bucky will be the replacement.

Regardless Nick is not dead at least not yet.
Having read issue #6 it's looking more and more that you're correct.

Sadly Joe I think I was right. Marvel is further trying to alienate it's older readers. I've been around long enough to see where this is going. The writing is on the wall as with Cap,Thor & Iron Man. All getting changed and all starting over with a new # 1. I'm really getting sick of this why is Marvel so afraid to let a book get over 30 issues before they re-boot? Most books not even that long. Next will be Avengers and the main X-books because they have too many issues right now. Marvel of late really pisses me off.

Issue 7 felt really thin. Hulk was taken out without being told how, Thor can no longer lift Mjolnir but why is this the case? Just feels weak and the end of Nick Fury now is in sight, sadly enough.

I agree about the Hulk - he seemed to be taken out too easily. Thor not being able lift the hammer - I think it will be explained

Whatever Fury whispered to Thor made him unworthy to hold the hammer, which seems a little weak to me. Are we to believe that Thor didn't know something he had done that would make him unworthy? This will apparently be a plot point for the new female Thor series that spins out of Original Sin.
