Couldn't wait for the Trade. I'm too hard-wired to buy the mags as they roll out.
So, here we go again w/ another Marvel Event book. Original Sin promises to cross-over w/ other books for it's next 8 issues. I just plan on sticking w/ the core book, with issues 0 & 1 doing a good job at hooking me.
A Marvel "Who-Done-IT" starring one of the great FF characters from the Silver Age getting "offed" within the 1st 5 pages of ish 1. I really like how this is being played out. I've always been a sucker for the normal moments sometimes demonstrated in Marvel books, & Original Sin kicks off w/ a great steak dinner among friends, interrupted by the news of the murder. Original Sin is cool 'cause we begin with a plethora of A listers just doin' what they're doin'; Thor flying home, Iron Man scouting, in a weird but very cool team-up, Dr. Strange & The Punisher together gathering info. from a creep. Ant Man, Spidey, Emma Frost, Thing & more ... all just existing in the MU on their cool little adventures. All, eventually being tied in to the murder by Writer Jason Aaron who even includes these fun little block intros on each introduced super-hero.
I feel Mike Deodato, who does a good job on this book, art's a little muddy & dark on some panels, captures the Noir vibe of a good murder-mystery.
If this mini stays tight & remains as fun as issue #1 is, I plan on sticking with it.
What do you all think?
