I know hcg have had more than their fair share of stinkers but this is a home run. Packaging is well thought out being split into three boxes, now I'm sure it could've all been packed into one big box but it would of weighed a lot and would've had more chance of being dropped and mishandled because of it. The statue itself is massive, a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures! And for such a relatively complex piece it was surprisingly easy to put together so again kudos to hcg for that. It's very heavy and all solid resin definitely no lightweight hollow parts here! The rotating base is a very nice touch and very welcome on this particular piece, it's a good quality action too as I was afraid they might cheap out on the system used but it's very smooth as it uses ball bearings by the feel of it. Finally the paint job is overall excellent, the weathering in particular is very good and not something I feel I need to improve which is unexpected. Only slight negatives I'd say are the parts painted silver though not bad could look a little more like real metal but they should be easy enough to touch up, and the light on top would be great if it actually rotated instead of just being a static on/off light.
But overall it's an amazing piece which I'd highly recommend and it looks great with the 1:4 sideshow alien queen bust. As soon as I get a chance I'll get some pictures up
Congrats,it's an awesome piece!
El Diablo, what colour would you use to touch up the silver parts in order to look more like metal?

Cheers mate

Repainting the pistons is on the to do list, a decent chrome paint is ideal (like alclad) but if you want to go the easy route just go with a metallic silver car paint (rattle can) and once weathered down they should look a lot better. Of course you could go to the extreme and replace the rods with real metal
The grabbers are actually pretty screen accurate colour wise (see pic below) they just need some weathering which will just be a case of painting over them with some watered down black/brown paint then wiping off the excess with a cloth leaving paint behind in the crevices where dirt would naturally gather.

Dude that is so awesome.

I miss that old queen 1/4 scale bust. The good old days.

These two look amazing on the same frame.
