Who do we know will be showing up from the old cast? I think I've seen in the trailers Ryker, Troi and Data?

Haven't watched this yet but I'd really appreciate a show that tries to build characterization and exposition so events and action actually mean something.

Audiences now are so spoilt for immediate gratification.

I completely agree, which is why we'll likely never see a proper Trek of old again. But even though I'm liking this show. They could certainly have fit the first 4 episodes into two at most.

Agreed, trying to shoehorn it all into one episode would have been too much but the first 4 could have easily been done in 2 I think. Regardless I am loving it so there is that. LOL

When you have a novelist for a showrunner, it's not surprising that the pacing is a bit more drawn out.
