I think it was just the perspective. The whole diorama was very compressed compared to the space in the actual scene itself. I think that the reason She's not actually roaring *at* Grant is because, to save table space, IS placed the whole diorama really close together to fit into the limited amount of space available.

I think that was just for show for the con. I don't think that IS will be using those oversized fake ferns in the actual final product.
