Poor souls think it'll be just a year and half for release

I think "studio scale" is an excuse to charge 5 grand. That SD is not so complicated that it commands such a price tag. The resin kit is 29" long and goes for half a grand, if that. They are looking to make some serious profit on this....

The big rumor is that Bryan runs EFX more as a hobby and has a ton of support from wealthy investors and Lucasfilm executives. So they get items done when they feel like it.

Yes, but to do that, eFX would have to actually sell stuff.
