New Captain America PF ?

I'm in. We also need a new classic Thor badly. I hate the OG Thor. He looks old and fat. Reminds me of Alex Ross's work and I'm not a fan of Alex Ross. I can't stand the old fat super hero thing. Grinds my gears... lol

the original pf's have grown on me quite a bit, for a while i didnt care for them at all but looking at them now - cap, thor and iron man were all incredible. hulk is awesome as well, i wish i had a chance to see them in person

that said theyre all $1000-1500+ so gots to go with a new one. prime1 is also doing a cap, a more modern take which i dont mind so well see what happens... brace yourselves for conspiracy theories

I have the Modern, while the Classic Costume is cool, when they showed the Modern suit with Coipel's art I just loved it, so it was a no-brainer when they made the PF.

That's the reason I didn't buy the OG Cap PF. Those spanks looked horrible enough for me not to pull the trigger. IMO, the cloth looked cheezy too. I agree 100% with Colossus but not with Thor. The OG Thor looks like a chubby wrestler to me. I think the modern Thor PF's mixed media looks incredible and far superior to the OG Thor. I still think the BEST use of mixed media belongs to Lobo. Sideshow just killed it with that PF.

I think the mixed media on the OG Thor definitely looks better than the mixed media on the Colossus and Cap. I do agree with you though it would probably look better fully sculpted. Don't know if you are on FB and in any of those FB statue groups but there's a custom of Thor fully sculpted where he's in an action pose bent at the knees with his hammer ready to strike. I believe it only comes as a kit unpainted but I could be wrong. I think that version of Thor looks the best to me right now.

Yeah to me, Lobo is probably Sideshow's best use of mixed media but I'm also partial to the OG Gambit.

It would make sense. If any one is worthy of lifting Mjolnir, Cap would definitely be on the list.
