This past weekend, quite a few of the artists from CAH and myself made our way down to Albuquerque Comic Con to set up shop and to attend the opening of mborin's Metropolis: Comic Art Gallery.
In all honesty, we were expecting a nice small space and a few attendees. What we actually got was a whole lot more. The gallery itself was 4 separate rooms (1 large greeting area, another large rooms, and two smaller rooms) with two nice decks off the larger greeting area.
The opening was from 7-10:30 and the time FLEW by with lots of people coming in and purchasing the artwork adorning the walls.
Simplyrob swung by with his family and his bud, Vincent. Joe Eisma came and hung out with Charles Paul Wilson III. It was cool to see so many people digging the art in what could be described as a comic art utopia, at least for that evening.
My heart felt thanks to mborin and his lovely wife for thinking the crew was worthy enough.
