My George Perez JLA/Avengers commission!

My George Perez JLA/Avengers commission! This was a commission I ordered from George more than ten years ago. It initially only had myself and 22 heroes from the Justice League of America and the Avengers. The idea was something similar to the cover to Avengers Forever #1, only with myself replacing Rick Jones as-if day dreaming of the big JLA/Avengers cross-over. Well I picked this up from George at Comicpalooza. He added I think twelve more heroes. I guess because I had to wait on it so very long? The only last minute change was that I asked him to add the Martian Manhunter's cape collar. More heroes than I ever hoped for and I especially like his rendition of me.

Awesome piece. I was disappointed to read on his Facebook post that he's basically said he's not going to do super-detailed commissions anymore. Of course, he does need to preserve his eyesight as best he can!

Glad you hung in there and got the piece---a cover quality by GP is precious. The fact that you're featured in it makes it even more special. While GP may not be doing pen/ink cover commissions any longer, he is still doing some amazing quality pieces for fans in marker and/or tonal. So don't despair folks.
