New Mortal Kombat movie?

I just saw this and it looks like it could be pretty good but does anyone know if there is any validity to this movie? I looked on IMDB and it says there's a Mortal Kombat movie being developed for 2013 but that's far too long for them to reveal a trailer this soon

I think that this clip is a cut scene for the new Mortal Kombat game coming out. I didn’t even think of that and it does make sense. If that is in fact the case then there will be an announcement about it at E3 next week.

It does look awesome though, in my opinion. Finally a real life MK with actual violence in it.

I agree. I like the dark and obviously violent look of it.... but making MK real world takes out one of the main storylines in the series.

It's actually a pitch for a revamp of the movie. Not for a game. Some director called in a few favors and did this for WB to see if can get it Greenlit...Those will not be the actual people in the movie if it gets made.
