its pretty clear why you did this video

1: spec fiction was hurting on thanos bust sales due to dark paint scheme and wants to reaffirm his customers its right

2: you have some problem with flankster yet you claim you don't know him...hmm


the big problem with your video is the screenshot you showed of thanos is from a very very dark scene. If you show the scene from avengers infinity war on gamora's planet which has best lighting when he is in his armor on, or in infinity war when he gets the last stone in wakanda. Those are the 2 best lighting scenes that show his true color.

Which is a much lighter purple, more like iron studios.

Good try but queen messed up big time on the 2nd batch, compare to 1st and its so clear the lighter skin tone is way better. see pic

I just received mine, and honestly the one I have looks closer to the one on the left, rather than the right hand side of your photos. There’s no guarantee what batch mine is, but I’ve got to assume it’s a latter one.

And lighting really does play a factor in the shade of purple that these busts come out as. While I do think the bust is a shade too dark even under direct white light, the Iron Studio pieces (that I also have) under the same lighting conditions may be a shade too pink as well. But under dim light both are relatively close in shade.

But out of all the Thanos pieces I have, the Hot Toys is probably the closest to my preferred shade of purple.

The thing is the light in EG *isn't real*. There is no accurate skin tone. You can't replicate it. Let's say you take the young Gamora scene in IW in bright light: You can't drag the bust in to that light to say accurate or inaccurate.

*IMO* it's close enough to whatever arbitrary scene one picks. It looks amazing, as you know. That's all that counts.
