Betty White - RIP

Now this is a tough one. She was less than 3 weeks away from her 100th birthday. To say she is anything less than a comedy and television icon would be an insult.

I think my NYE will be spent binge watching some old Mary Tyler Moore shows that featured Sue Ann Niven and the Golden Girls.

Thank you being a friend Betty. The laughs you leave behind will last for countless generations and we will be forever blessed.

This was really hard news to get today. I absolutely love her and The Golden Girls is my all-time favorite show. Thank you for being our friend, Betty.

While I loved her on GG, I felt her witty, sassy, flirty, and quick sense of humor was showcased more on game shows and Mary Tyler Moore. I LOVE watching reruns of her on Game Show Network and MeTV.

I am so very happy she didn’t suffer and lived a long life. I’m also glad she is in heaven with Allen now. She lived a longtime without the love of her life.

even at 99, she was funnier than most people and still had perfect timing. Dang, so close to 100.

There are two other legends still standing - Dick Van Dyke and Carol Burnette. When she goes, I will be so sad. I adore her.

Other than Carol Burnett and Dick Van Dyke I just realized Mel Brooks is also still alive.

Even though some of it might seem dated I still laugh hysterically at old Carol Burnett sketches especially where she would lose it halfway through the sketch. I remember after Betty White hosted Saturday night live everybody now wanted her to host it but it never came to be which I think was kind of a shame. (Not to say that it still couldn’t happen)

But Demona, I can agree with you about Carol Burnett.
