It seems highly likely to me that the portraits would be interchangeable.

Depends if there are magnets involved. I know sometimes the polarity can be different on variants and they repel when you try to put them on.

Yea, that can happen.
Saving grace, tho, is that the production of the blue suit and black suit should be the same since only the paint color is different. To prevent confusion, the factory workers should place the magnets the same way.

Do not know if this was mentioned but from what I remember the black suit costume that Superman wore did not have a cape. Did he ever wear one with a cape?

He did in the JL movie, but I don't recall a cape in the comics.

Yeah back then they did use Superman’s death to grow his hair into a mullet. Thankfully it only lasted a few years.

Not that I remember...possible the cape is removable...if you're cool with a couple of exposed peg holes.

He did have one in the New 52, but the cape was silver to match the logo. This piece is more of a Tweeterhead take on a black costume and not exactly a representation of a specific suit from the comics. Kind of an homage to the different black suits that have been around through all forms of media.

Would be cool to have this without cape and use the mullet hair from the regular. That would be comic accurate.
