I was hyped about XM’s Colossus at first, now I think I’ll wait for another SS version.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Just not feeling the XM Colossus from what I've seen so far. The recent XM sculpts that have blown me away are Weapon X, Storm, HULKbuster, and transformation HULK. I have to find a way to pick up the transformation HULK and try and work backwards from there. Adding Storm next, then Weapon X. The HULKbuster statue will never happen for me. Just not willing to drop that kind of coin for a statue. That said, the HULKbuster statue is groundbreaking and phenomenal in every way.
As for XM's X-MEN pieces... I find them to be like sideshow's. Some are hits, and some are misses.

Yeah, he’s my favorite X-Man, so I got excited when I first saw him but I prefer a more museum-esque pose for Petey. I also like the Byrne body type for him. A longer, muscular build. XM’s is almost bordering on a Hulk like build.

Agreed on everything, except he's my 2nd favorite X-Man, right behind Nightcrawler.
The choice of costume is a major disappointment for me as well. I've never seen it until now. Maybe my mind will change once I see it painted, but I doubt it.

Yup, as wolverine fell flat. Again i think this is because it was on the heels of SS wolverine and there was no way it could compete. Storm is a masterpiece though.
