Ok...I have been fooled by teaser pics before (ahem latest Batman PF with evening gown), but so far, so good.
Stick the landing SS and this is bought!

It looks like computer lightning/details that Sideshow adds at times. I would hate to think they would muck up a smooth, museum pose with something like that.

At the beginning of the video it does look like a bit of sculpted black hole effect.

I actually wouldn't mind it if was like the Portal effect on the Dr. Strange Maq. and Surfer and his Board were coming out of the Black hole.

It is a maquette, as opposed to being a PF. There’s gotta be some excuse why it’s a maquette. Probably an elaborate base or however he’s attached to it.
As for cost? I look at a few existing maquettes.
Doctor Strange is $675
Rogue is $700/$715
Magneto is $740/$750.
Silver Surfer‘s body is just a plain body sculpt, not detailed like the 3 above with clothing, textures, etc. He’s also 1 single color. Note we can’t see the degree of shading though, but still, he’s one color unlike the others above who require more when it come to paint.
The common factor amongst those 3 maquettes is 1 limb attachment to the base...I’m going to assume SS’s attachment to his base or the elaborateness of the base is what makes this a maquette, because otherwise, SS makes for a rather plain, not very detailed statue that doesn’t justify a higher price. Yeah, he has the board, but the board is a plain slab with straight lines in the middle lol. Given his less detailed nature we better not see Magneto pricing on this. But it comes down to the base sculpt and how much engineering is involved.

I’m curious to see in better photos how shiny or not the paint is. Because the teaser looked to use light effects...basic, too, like iMovie level effects, I can see the artificial light particles lol... so the light reflectiveness we see on him might be false.

Me too. I have a feeling the price will be scary, but hopefully I’m wrong.

Didn’t even realize part of the base is in the beginning of the video.
Does look like a portal, black hole, glob thing if so. A wilder version of the customs I know we’ve all seen.
