Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, the tentacle on his lower right side should be gripping the base, along with the one to his upper left.

I personally don’t like the placement of the tentacles . It really doesn’t look like they’re holding him up.

Yup!! I've been saying for the longest time to lose the coat, or make a 2nd body without it (just like they added an extra upper body for classic Iron Man) even if the cost is higher.
