I just don't understand the thinking behind this. Of all the memorable moments you share with long haired Elizabeth in this game - her tearing open a portal in front of her easel, falling out of Monument Tower reaching for Booker, dancing on the pier, picking a broach, getting cotton candy, Booker playing guitar with her singing, her bloodied with the scissors, etc. - they choose her default pose holding a sky-hook with Polar Express dead-eyes. It's so generic and lifeless.
What the hell kind of emotion is that supposed to elicit? Really wish some other statue maker would pick up this license and do Elizabeth justice.

I think that's the real problem with the piece. It lacks the emotion and personality that made Elizabeth such a memorable character for me.
There's certainly other iconic scenes that they could have went with like you mentioned, but I can forgive that. For me, the biggest test for Gaming Heads was nailing her likeness.
Sadly, they missed the mark as far as I'm concerned.
