Sorayama Commando. Original or Recast?

All of those Volks Sorayama kits were exceptional. I sold them all except for one particular kit which I would never part with. Good thing too because I have one of the ABSOLUTE best there is building it up and for me and it is going to be amazing. It is not the Commando kit but my favorite Sorayama kit of all the ones Volks did back then.

I own the prepainted one and it's a piece of art. Very well painted.

Btw it looks like you don't get the full base of the prepainted version with the kit. It's too bad because it's a REALLY great base.

Years later & I still haven't got around to building any of the models I collect. Even if I start now I'm sure it will be many more years before I can do this model justice. I just sold most of my models on eBay but I just couldn't let this one go. But now I've got an idea, I think I'll sell her & buy a prepainted version.

yes, the prepaint version is alot better than the kit version, the spikes the parts, the base are beautiful handmade, and heavy too, the complete finish looks is based on the Sorayama Art print.

The booklet that came with this states it was available in white and black. It also says the black was a limited edition.
