Feelin' lucky bub? 1/4 scale Wolverine

I've always thought of Clint Eastwood when I read the comics and watched the 90s cartoons. Some artists have drawn him in Eastwood's image or claimed to have been inspired by him...Hugh Jackman even looks a little like Clint. It's just the attitude and even sometimes the style, so here's my version. It's still very much a WIP.

Wolverine’s initial appearance was intended to be an angry teenager with gloves—and no matter how weird you consider the ’70s and ’80s to be, that appearance would not have brought Wolverine the cultural recognition he has now garnered. Fortunately for later fans of Hugh Jackman, Frank Miller—the same comics legend who revitalized Batman and Daredevil—ensured that Wolverine would have powerfully familiar touchstones in American culture.Frank Miller’s Wolverine illustrations in the ’80s intentionally drew inspiration from Clint Eastwood, helping to visually convey the same message that Wolverine’s comics were conveying: that he was an avenging cowboy hero. This trend has continued into the present day, with Marigold’s The Wolverine movie paying homage to classic Eastwood westerns by serving as a kind of bridge between the samurai movie and the cowboy movie in which Wolverine functions similarly to the protagonist of The Outlaw Josey Wales.

def another rmaster piece in the making..

it is such a killah original concept for this character.
and the actual facts backing your use of Clint's likeness is hella cool.

Thanks man! Yup, I finally got back to it recently. Did a transfer from castilene to Ralph's wax ( one of the pics above) then tweaked the likeness a little before adding the body.

LMAO "bow in the shadow" lol dude you cray. I'm pretty excited about it. Hope other's like it as much as you bruthah.

If anybody has any critiques or suggestions, I'm down. Pretty sure I'm going to make the "Fins" of the boots a little taller/longer.
