Venom could work as an anti-hero movie, Carnage being the villain. I'm more curious about the Sinister Six film. I think it could only work if they fight against each other in the beginning and team-up at the end of the film.

exactly, i think it would work extremely well. and thats exactly how i think it could work too. but have Spidey show up once and a while. just like how a villain shows up in a film. i think it would be sick as hell. a film seen from the villain's perspective. something totally different for a comic film. i hope they do it.

The other thing for one to consider is that it is not inconceivable for them to have Spider-man in the spin off films but appear solely as Spidey negating the need to utilize Garfield and maintain a different focus than a traditional Spider-man film.

Looks like this is getting delayed until 2017. Probably no harm. Personally I think a new Director is required and much tighter script and one villain. Preferably Kraven.

Rumor is that Sinister Six film could be released in 2016, before ASM 3. And there is now way there will be only one villain in ASM 3.
